Dear Vega ISD Community:
We have certainly enjoyed some very cold weather recently, learned about the term “snow squalls,” and had plenty of experience with negative wind chill temperatures over the past couple of weeks. Through it all our Vega ISD students and staff continue showcasing their hard work.
Our Ag Mechanics students did very well at the Fort Worth Ag Mech show. Our junior high basketball teams had a great showing at the Friona Basketball Tournament while our high school basketball teams played well in their district games. Our Powerlifting team’s first meet was cancelled because of the snowy weather a couple of weeks ago but they were able to travel to Dalhart over the weekend to kick off their season. Our junior high basketball teams competed in the district tournament last week and did a great job of representing our school. While the JV basketball teams also got in some more basketball action at the White Deer JV tournament. Our Varsity girls basketball team continues its push to the playoffs.
