Dear Vega ISD Community:
As we wrap up the month of July, the start of school is around the corner. We are very excited
to welcome back our students - both returning students and our new students - for a fantastic
school year. If you are new to our school and have not registered, please be sure to do so as
soon as possible so we can plan accordingly for our enrollment and class sizes.
The school supply list is available on the district webpage so you can begin your back to school
shopping. To find the list, just click on the menu bar on the school webpage and you will find
the “school supply lists” link where you can click and find out what you need. If you have any
questions, please do not hesitate to call your campus office for assistance.
Please check the district facebook page and the district webpage for updates and
announcements as extracurricular activities will begin soon. The district calendar already has
some important dates listed so you can make plans accordingly. One of these dates is August
8th when we have several events scheduled to kick start the school year: at 5 PM we will host
our annual Title 1 Parent Meeting and GT Meeting in the auditorium; at 5:30 PM we will host our
Dyslexia Parent Meeting in Mrs. Meyer’s Room; from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM we will host the Meet
Your Teacher; and at 7 PM we will host Meet the Longhorns at the football field. Our first day of
classes will be Wednesday, August 14th.
Vega ISD is accepting student transfer applications for the upcoming school year. Anyone
interested in applying for a student transfer to Vega ISD is invited to complete the transfer
application located on our district webpage. If you need any additional information please reach
