Dear Vega ISD Community:
It’s been great this week to see so many of our students on campus for different camps and finishing up their summer activities. This week has been the mini cheer camp and the football camp. Next week our staff comes back to school for August in-service and professional development. We are very excited to welcome back our returning staff and to greet our new staff next week.
The district calendar on our webpage has some important dates listed so you can make plans accordingly. One of these dates is August 8th when we have several events scheduled to kick start the school year: at 5 PM we will host our annual Title 1 Parent Meeting and GT Meeting in the auditorium; at 5:30 PM we will host our Dyslexia Parent Meeting in Mrs. Meyer’s Room; from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM we will host the Meet Your Teacher; and at 7 PM we will host Meet the Longhorns at the football field. Our first day of classes will be Wednesday, August 14th.
The school supply list is available on the district webpage so you can begin your back to school shopping. Here is the link to the school supply list for all grade levels at Vega ISD. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call your campus office for assistance.
Vega ISD is accepting student transfer applications for the upcoming school year. Anyone interested in applying for a student transfer to Vega ISD is invited to complete the transfer application located on our district webpage.
