The Vega ISD Wellness Page has been created to inform and update the public about the content and implemenation of the local wellness policy. Updates and revisions to the policy, as well as notices of SHAC meetings where the wellness policy or corresponding documents will be discussed, will be posted here.
The Vega ISD SHAC (School Health Advisory Council) has been established and currently consists of parents, a student representative, the school nurse, administration, the school cafeteria manager, and the school counselor. Students, parents, staff, and/or community members are welcome to join the committee and/or attend meetings. Please see the meeting schedule below. The Superintendent is the District official responsible for the overall implementation of FFA(LOCAL), including the development of the wellness plan and any other appropriate administrative procedures, and ensuring that each campus complies with the policy and plan.
